ASEANOutlook – Amazon is giving Prime members another reason to spend more time inside its streaming ecosystem. The company has announced that Luna cloud gaming is being integrated directly into Prime Video, allowing subscribers to discover and play games through their Fire TV devices.
For now, the feature is available to Prime members in the United States and United Kingdom. With a compatible Fire TV, users can access the gaming catalog included with their Prime membership without having to navigate to a separate gaming service.
Jeff Gattis, General Manager of Gaming at Amazon, explained that the goal is to make games easier to discover. By bringing Luna into Prime Video, Amazon wants users to move from watching content to playing games with as little friction as possible.
Gaming Meets Prime Video
The integration could make Amazon’s entertainment ecosystem feel more connected, particularly when movies, shows, and games share the same franchises.
Prime’s gaming lineup already includes titles such as Hogwarts Legacy, EA Sports FC, Taboo, and Clue, offering a mix of single-player adventures and multiplayer games designed for social gatherings.
For Harry Potter fans, for instance, a movie marathon could naturally lead into Hogwarts Legacy, allowing viewers to explore the wizarding world themselves. Similarly, after watching a soccer match, fans could jump into EA Sports FC 26 and recreate the action virtually.
The feature could also make Fire TV a more useful entertainment hub for parties and family gatherings. Instead of limiting the television to movies and shows, Prime members can now use it for gaming as well.
How to Play Games Through Prime Video
Getting started is designed to be straightforward:
- Sign in to your Prime membership account on a compatible Fire TV.
- Open the Games tab in Prime Video.
- Select a game from the available catalog.
- Choose Play to start gaming through Luna.
For Prime members in the US and UK, the setup requires a compatible Fire TV and access to the games included with their membership.
By combining streaming and cloud gaming in a single interface, Amazon is making Prime Video more than a place to watch movies and shows. The company is increasingly positioning Prime as an all-in-one entertainment service where users can watch, discover, and play without constantly switching between platforms.
